Corporate Cocktails The Hot Spots

We’ve been scoping out locations for our Spring/Summer Launch Party - now all locked in at the ahh-mazing 480 Queen Street and Otto bar on Level 4 overlooking the river so hope you’ve got your tickets!

In our travels, we have stumbled across some of the most beautiful rooftop bars, pumping dance floors and stunning terrace views in Brisbane. From quirky to classy, we’re giving you a weekly guide to the most happening bars and clubs in Brisbane. Whether it be unwinding after a busy week in the office on Friday night, hitting the clubs for some fun on the weekend, a Sunday sesh to prepare for the work week ahead, or a sneaky mid-week drink to network or catch up with friends, we have pulled together a list of corporate woman hot spots. We know that even the most busy of us power women will grab any opportunity we can to relax and let our hair down, now let’s start with Saturday…

Saturday

Up on Constance is one of the quirkiest, cutest rooftop bars we have come across so far, with mismatched furniture, paper lanterns and a private elevator up to the venue, we were in love with one foot through the door. The bartenders know exactly what they’re doing and will tailor your drinks to just how you like it, and better! Head into the Valley on Saturday for a couple of the best espresso martinis you’ll find, and if you’re looking for more of a dancefloor later into the night, the Valley’s endless supply of nightclubs are just around the corner. If an early uber home is more your thing, grab a Churburger downstairs on your outside – we can guarantee you will not regret it!

Sunday

Right in the heart of Brisbane’s leading cultural and lifestyle hub, the Rydges hotel in South Bank hosts a non-stop pool party in its Soleil Pool Bar, with DJs spinning and cocktails flowing from early in the day until late at night. Let your imagination fly with a lounge by the pool taking you to beachside luxury in Dubai, the Maldives, anywhere that takes you far, far from the work week ahead! And if the sun’s not shining and you’re not brave enough for a dip, grab a cocktail or punch bowl and have a boogie! Leading into summer the bar turns into the ultimate Sunday sesh destination, with Capri Sundays allowing the best of both worlds – soaking up some afternoon sunshine, and dancing under the stars as the night goes on. Don’t forget to take advantage of Capri’s $10 cocktail menu (watermelon is our fave).

Monday

Cowch Dessert and Cocktail Bar in South Bank offers not only the finest liquor and selection of hand-crafted cocktails, but some of the yummiest dessert options in Brisbane. To combat your Monday blues and blow-off some colleague-related steam, Cowch allows the indulgence of ice-cream and wine, minus the pj’s and spoon from a tub. The only one of its kind in Queensland, Cowch is set in the heart of Brisbane’s cultural hub, with cute décor, open fires, churros and a Choclatini or two, your Monday night is set.

Tuesday

For something more casual and less likely to have you holding your head and hiding behind your sunnies when walking into the office the next day, try Beach Burrito in West End for some delicious Mexican food. With tacos from $3 on Tuesdays and various types of Margaritas to take your fancy, grab some friends and work colleagues and enjoy the funky, festive vibes just oozing out of this place!

Wednesday

Limes Boutique Hotel in Fortitude Valley features a funky rooftop bar that is the perfect mix between sultry and quirky. Opening at 5pm, Limes is perfect for sharing an after-work cocktail jug, having a dip in one of the bar’s two plunge pools, or having a bite to eat from their scrumptuous menu. On Wednesday and Thursday nights from 7pm the bar hosts an open-air cinema night showing old classics and new films – be sure to grab a ticket to save your spot with a perfect view from the plunge pools. Limes rooftop bar provides the luxury atmosphere that will pull you over the proverbial ‘hump day’ hill and take you to poolside Miami in no time.

Thursday

Okay ladies, we’ve reached Thursday, the weekend is close – but yet so far! The Valley’s Prohibition hosts Manhattan Ladies Night every Thursday from 8pm! Let’s face it, if we’ve made it this far through the week then surely its time for a bit of celebration. As well as the opportunity to have a few cocktails with the girls and let your hair down on the dance floor, Ladies Night at Prohibition offers complimentary hair and make up touch-ups for when those dance moves get a little too wild! Book a VIP booth for even more of a treat and grab up some $1 pizza for the uber home. For a great atmosphere and some girly freebies, Prohibition has nailed the mantra ‘treat yourself’, with a party twist.

Friday

Start off the night at stunning Black Bird Bar & Grill on Eagle Street Pier to pop some afternoon champagne, then why not move on to an old classic – Friday’s Riverside! This bar and restaurant has one of the best waterfront views on Eagle street and is located in the centre of Brisbane’s business community, making it the perfect spot for meeting friends after work and networking with many other like-minded professionals who are there to celebrate the end of the work week just like you! Equipped with fairy lights and an amazing view, Friday’s outside terrace offers the perfect ambience for relaxing after work with a cocktail or two, and if you’re planning on staying late into the night, Friday turns into a happening club and their dancefloor is truly the place to be.
